Scoutmaster of Troop 450 for 6 years, Walt has been in scouting since he was 11 and attained the Eagle Scout rank when he was 15. He went to Philmont Scout Ranch as a scout in 1972, 1975 and as a leader in 2004.  He attended the National Scout Jamboree as a scout in 1973 and as a leader in 2005.  He led a group of 5 scouts on a 10-day Northern Tier High Adventure Trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area in Minnesota during June-July '07. Walt's love for scouting shows as he passes on his enthusiasm to the scouts of his troop.
